RAF veteran and Invictus Games athlete David Moncrieff has been announced as Walking With The Wounded’s (WWTW) Longest Day Ambassador for the third consecutive year.

The Longest Day campaign takes place throughout June and encourages fundraisers to take on a challenge that pushes them to achieve a personal best, going further than they have before. Previous participants include David Beer, who completed a 12-hour static cycling challenge, and Shelly Coventry, who tackled multiple hikes in the Lake District.

Speaking about his appointment, David Moncrieff said: “I’m honoured to once again support Walking With The Wounded through their Longest Day campaign. The charity delivers vital, life-changing support to ex-forces personnel who have put their lives on the line to serve our country. The Longest Day serves as a powerful reminder of the challenges faced by veterans, but the campaign message is clear – we all have our own ‘longest day’, and we can conquer it together.”

Martin Lynn, WWTW Events Manager, added: “We are delighted to welcome David Moncrieff back in support of our Longest Day fundraising campaign. Since launching in 2021, hundreds of supporters have raised thousands of pounds to help ex-forces personnel and their families through our mental health, employment and wraparound care coordination programmes. Best of luck to everyone taking on a Longest Day challenge.”
